Earlier this week I finished Roll Roll Cotton Boll!!!! Oh you have no idea how happy that last stitch made me to get that top finally finished, There are almost 5,000 pieces in that beast. Still have a few more snippings to do, and then I will be mailing it off to the quilter. When I finished it, I jumped out of my chair, did a little victory dance, turned off the machine and left the sewing room for the night. Went down to my office, logged in to Facebook, and "WHAT?!?!" The message that pops up that was posted 1 minute earlier was from Bonnie Hunter in Quiltville, she said she had just finished putting the last stitch into Novembers mystery quilt.
You have got to be kidding me!!! I had just finished LAST years, and it is that time again! Oh Bonnie will be the death of me yet. I do know it has string blocks in it. As much as I love the look in RRCB, I hardly doubt I will make the string blocks, I will have to do something else instead.
I didn't do any other sewing this week or even today, my usual busy sewing day. But I did cut out an entire blue and white quilt top today..........it is sitting next to the machine waiting to go. Sorry no pics today. Soon.
All my Canadian friends, you have a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, I will take the day off as it is Columbus day here in the states.

There is nothing like a finish of something that's been hanging round a while. I think trumpets should sounds automatically at moment like that.
Congratulations!
Congratulations on completing the monumental challenge of RRCB!
And BH has another mystery quilt ready to go? *groan*
:)
I am looking forward to Bonnie's new mystery. I have set a goal for myself - to quilt my RRCB before the new mystery starts!
Congrats on finishing RRCB. I too, HATE string blocks ... so I made yardage & then cut it into blocks that look like string blocks.
