Fourth Qtr, and Just 3 for October..........

Wow, I can't believe it is already October, the final quarter of the year. I have been posting my Just 3 for at least 6 months now............and haven't managed to finish any of the "3" for any month so far this year. But then again, it has NOT been a normal year either. It is going to start getting back to normal though, really soon. Last week some major decisions have been made which will help everything go back to normal.  The biggest decision, we are NOT moving to UTAH. We are staying put in Florida. How do I feel about that, mixed emotions. But apparently it was meant to be, so makes me happier about the decision. The reason, dear hubby got a pay raise, and a promotion with another pay raise back to back. So now if we moved he would be taking a $12 an hour pay CUT..........Nope, not gonna happen! That is tooooo much money that I could use to buy fabric  to lose, I mean that is more than some people make in a year.  The other house finally has the kitchen installed, but we have taken a long break from doing anything else over there. The rest of the month doesn't look any better going over there either, we have other plans till the first weekend in November. Then we will get over there and bust butt to get it finished and on the market.
I actually did do a little sewing this weekend, not as much as I would have liked for it being a 3 day weekend. But I did do some, after I finally got the copies I needed done at the blueprint office today.

Ok my Just 3 list for October............I have a lot of deadlines coming up so I can't slack off any more on some of these.

1. get 3 quilts done for the guilds Christmas fair in mid November. That should count as my 3! There is probably going to be 4, but for now lets just say 3.

2. Finish the Quilt for Kids quilt and mail it back, the top was done the day after I got the kit........months ago! Need to find the binding.........ut oh.

3. Finish the quilt I just started for my dear hubby....he wants to take it with him in 2 weeks! LOL, LOL! The first set is half done, 7 more sets to go, plus the middle medallion and the back too. It will be a 2 sided quilt. I am not thinking this one will be done on time this year...But I will try. He has a lot of work he will be doing on the Jeep, so I will get sewing time.

ok now besides those three things, my list for the rest of the quarter include:

Get my wounded warriors quilt finished and sent off. Very sad this one is still not done. :(

Put the binding on the yellow monochromatic quilt...........still waiting!

OH another deadline one..........I think for the first week of November, our guild Black Red and White challenge swap blocks!! Oh My...............almost FORGOT! Need to move this one up to the top........

My Christmas strings quilt from the last swap we did, the top is almost done, needs one more border, then find a back and get it quilted and bound. Forgot to take a pic of it today....it does have a few borders on it since this one was taken.

Any of my other UFO's or WIP's.............that list is very long..............and listed at the very bottom of my blog if you want to see how crazy I am something to read for an hour or so, go take a look. I dare you. It will make you feel good about all yours, I promise!
Like this one...........hadn't touched in a while.
Or this pile that are awaiting to be quilted...........
Well since I had the day off today, and I will pay for it dearly at work tomorrow ( how many of you went to the Post Office today, and it was closed???) I had better get to bed since I didn't get much sleep all weekend long. Till the next post............

I went to check the mail yesterday before realizing. Glad the decision has been made about Utah, not knowing is the worst part. Now you can make plans. Looks like you have enough projects to keep you busy for several lifetimes. Good luck getting the high priority ones done.

Oh! I thought I just didn't get any mail yesterday because no one loved me! LOL! Nice stack of tops waiting to be quilted. ;) And I like the looks of your husband's quilt - can't wait to see that finished!

LOL, I did check my mailbox yesterday and there was mail....now I bet it was from Saturday. ;) Some days I am clueless!
I have a theory about UFOs...what if I can't leave my house and there is no UPS or USPS delivery, what will I work on??? I have projects!
I love your binding for the yellow quilt. Just keep working one step at a time and you will have them all tackled in no time.

Oh, my gosh! Reading this made me feel soooo much better about my ever-growing project stack. It is always nice to be reminded that I am not alone in my Quilter's ADD.

It is a happy thing when the universe steps in to give you a nudge-- that bit of goodness that makes you feel better about a decision. For now. Utah will still be there when you're ready. :)
