FNSI

Friday Night Sew In...............I don't get to do that too often, for some reason I usually miss it. Well I got to sew last night, woo hoo, finally!!! I finally got the border on my pink n orange quilt, then got 2 of the 4 side of the pieced border on too.
Instead of just having orange squares in the corners I am going to put some pink stars to match the ones in the quilt, and since I didn't feel like doing that last night, I quit on that project.

While walking over some of my helpers tonight......
I finished straightening my shelves out so now the stash is nice and neat....at least until the next box arrives.

Here is my neutrals with colors on the bottom (Bonnie string fabrics I call them) along with a small stack of Christmas fabrics on the left, and above them my whites and off whites, then my white to gray to black fat quarters on top of the black on whites, and grays. With the last pile being the white on black to black then colors on black, and then BIG black yardage pieces on the bottom.
Then above those shelves I have My purples, my cat and dogs fabric pile and a small pile of batiks. Then 2 shelves of blue with jelly rolls and Bali Pops and Tonga Treats on top.
Then the other shelf unit holds the rest of the rainbow. Pinks and reds on top shelf, with my little pile of orange and then my yellows, and my tans and browns next. 3rd shelf has green to teal, and then LOTS of turquoise. The shelf below that ( no pic) holds all the crazy colored stuff. Then on top is all those bundles of fat quarters just waiting for the plastic to be broken.
Oh and I found the PERFECT piece of fabric for the back of my Christmas strings quilt yesterday too. I scored 5 yards of it for only $15.18 with tax. Savings was $35.72 on the receipt!
It matches perfectly too. So that one will be getting finished hopefully next week while I am off of work, and dear hubby is working!!! Well I am off to Christmas at the Fair to work our Quilt Guild's booth we have there. May your bobbins be full and you get a lot of sewing done this weekend too.

So glad you were able to enjoy FNSI. Looks like a happy quilt. All those tidy shelves stuffed with fabric must make you want to sew non stop. Enjoy.

Looks like you are very organised, I have put my fabrics in plastic tubs in the laundry which has filled up one side of the cupboards !

Wow your stash is so organised. I still haven't completely organised mine since the move.
