Our quilt guild is having a stripe and polka dot challenge, We get to see them all tomorrow morning at our meeting of putting in the new officers. I seen a pic last Saturday that said this is what I can do, went and drew it out on paper, cut some out of paper, and played with it. I am using the pink and chocolate from those I won a month or so ago. I only had one striped fat quarter, so I had to make sure I wasn't going to screw it up. The whole quilt can only be less than 120 inches in diameter, or 30x30. Hadn't a clue how big mine would end up but I started on it on Sunday, screwed it all up, took it out on Monday re sewed it back together again. I pulled more stitches out of this tiny thing, than I have ever pulled out in my life of quilting. Well making a wall hanging/ table topper is a first for me, I tend to make lap size or king size quilt tops always. So that was a first! Andddddd I haven't ever actually gotten anything of mine quilted up till yesterday! So that was a first as well.Wow it felt great to put that last stitch in it, get the binding done, throw it in the wash machine, and pulled it out of the dryer this morning! I am ready to roll out some quilts now, but I am sure it will be different putting a huge quilt in my little machine verses that tiny little thing I spun around in circles with no problems what so ever. I learned a lot doing this tiny little quilt, so hopefully the bigger ones will be somewhat easier. What do you think of my 2 firsts?
The colors are pink and chocolate, even though it looks washed out in this pic.

I wish I had a quilt quild to go to...still looking...
Good for you, the quilting looks awesome. Machine quilting still intimidates me a bit, especially Free Motion on large quilts that you can't spin. Anyway, looks very cool!!
Wow, the first time you machine quilted? I don't believe it! Well done, and very cute!
What kind of template did you use to cut the triangles?
Love the way you used the stripe in this pattern. Congrats on your firsts!
