Past and Present

Going through some old quilting magazines and ran across this poem written by Margaret Hillert. Thought I would share with you all.

She hoped her hopes and dreamed her dreams
Into the stitches and the seams.
Her quilting patterns were designed
With all her future much in mind.
"Baby blocks" and "Tree of Life"
Occupied this mother, wife.
Our present and her past do cling,
Remembering, remembering.

Lovely!
I know the feeling of "She hoped her hopes and dreamed her dreams
Into the stitches and the seams"
Every time I move house I make a quilt, it takes my mind off the stress of the move!
