Already 6 weeks into the new year, and I have been very busy in my sewing room. I am glad too. I miss my room when other things keep me away from it. I am in 3 online Bees right now. Bonnie Hunters mystery got revealed the 1st of the year, and as crazy as I am I entered mine into our local quilt show on the 5th of January, needing to be done by the 10th of Feb. I hadn't even half the clues done. But today is the 8th of Feb, and the quilt is done, labeled, hanging sleeve attached, washed, and in the dryer as I type. Yippeee!!! UPDATE: My quilt received an honorable mention ribbon, HOLY S&*T!!!
Lets see what I have accomplished so far this year. In my Flickr Bee I am in it is a block swap. I made two reverse star blocks and shipped them off.
In my Improvi Robin I had Charwifs quilt, that I added some sea turtles and a tree with an owl. Shipped that off for the next addition.
Started our Traveling Bee-utiful. I had 3 Crazy Chickens in Hexi Hen Houses, and sent them off. I will get this one back in December after it has been to all the other 10 ladies. Can't wait to see what they come up with.
Beginning of March now, Made 8 little Kaleidoscope blocks to mail off.
I had Karens quilt and added purple elephants to it.
Then I had Forestbuckets quilt and I added two foxes and a tree to her quilt.
I also had a MINDGAMES class in February and I have been so busy with the UTAH stuff that I haven't touched that since the class. I have a vision in my head to make it different than the pattern using the technique though.
Since March, I have finished the block swaps, I can't even remember what all we did.
I have worked on all the ladies quilts for the Round Robin and all the quilts are back to their owners. Mine is soooooooooooooooooo cute. I will finish attaching the rest of the blocks, and then make a normal blog post about it. I am going to enter into our quilt show in February as a group quilt, here in Florida, even though I might be in Utah by that time.
Black Friday, started Bonnie Hunter's 2015 mystery Allietare, keeping up with the pace on this one. It is giving me time to somewhat relax my legs and feet after a long day at work and doing all this stuff around the house too.
